Struts, Suspension, and Brake Problems

This was a long ongoing project because yet again parts availability. This was started before the belt service but was not finished until two weeks after. The first strut assembly came out fine and was replaced in the vice pretty quickly. Upon inspecting the suspension components without them in stress, it was obvious the tie rod ends, ball joints, and sway bar links all needed to be changed on both ends. Knowing this I started on the other side which is when I noticed the outer CV boot was torn. This part as well as the ball joints took me days to hunt down on the internet and led me to order from Germany in the end. In the meantime, I attempted to change the tie rod ends only to find out they are original and were so corroded and round that there was no shot that they were coming off. Entire tie rod inner and outers were then sourced as a whole (as inners are NLA alone) and left me with spare outer tie rod ends. The boot was changed as soon as it arrived and the strut was put in place on both ends. Followed were the sway bar links and ball joints only to then discover a brake hose that connected two hard lines was seeping and corroded on the connections. The suspension components were in the end completed and topped off with new brake pads (rotors looked okay), but obtaining the brake hose part has still remained a challenge to source and will be a problem before final roadworthiness.
