Designing creative solutions to emerging challenges.

Hello!

I’m Nathaniel Henderson and I created this portfolio website to share my creative journey and what motivates me. I will continue to provide updates with additional details concerning completed projects and adding new endeavors.

Cheers,

Automotive Projects and Passion.

I love being around cars, trucks, and anything else that moves. I listen religiously to automotive podcasts and spend my spare time on weekends restoring a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro shown here. I bought it in shambles and hope to road trip it by May 2022. Shift Into First to see the progress.

Fully Electric Racing, the FSAE Experience.

Being part of an FSAE team was why I selected a college, only to lose the experience when I transferred. Or so I thought. I remained and helped out the team for a year and a half after I left the University of Vermont for a total of three years on the team. Stress Test to find out more.

ChemArt Automated Stringer.

As a senior at the University of Rhode Island, I am participating in the capstone program where I am the team leader of my group of four. My team is partnered with ChemArt, an ornament manufacturer, with a goal to increase productivity and keep costs the same as wages increase. Start the Assembly Line to see the designs.

Restoring Vintage Technology.

As a lockdown project, I restored a PC case that had been around my family for almost as long as I’ve been alive. Part-time computer, part-time footrest, the case was ruined after 20 years of abuse. Bring Back 2001 with me to see my process.

“It’s what non-car people don’t get. They see all cars as just a ton and a half, two tons of wires, glass, metal, and rubber, and that’s all they see. People like you or I know we have an unshakable belief that cars are living entities… You can develop a relationship with a car and that’s what non-car people don’t get.”
